WSJ: IBM is reportedly in talks to buy Sun Microsystems

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that IBM could acquire Sun as early as this week:

International Business Machines Corp. is in talks to buy Sun Microsystems Inc., people familiar with the matter said, a combination that would bolster IBM's heft on the Internet, in software and in finance and telecommunications markets.
Does it make sense? Just 1 main reason (take a look at this CNET news): open source software could complete Lotus (OpenOffice to start with) and DB2 (MySQL) product offering;
